Weaning Baby Goats

Most dairies routinely wean their kids at eight weeks.
Two of the biggest does I ever had were weaned at four weeks although I don't suggest anybody do that.

A number of people I know turn on a radio, turned up loud, to discourage unwanted 4 legged visitors. It seems to work best when tuned to a country music or all talk station. Guess the pop and rock stations don't have enough talking. Not sure if this will help in your situation, but the cat might be worried enough to move on.

I've weaned my Nigerian buck kids as early as 6 weeks. Didn't cause any problems and they are doing just fine. Much better than more pregnant does when I'm not wanting more pregnant does!!
