I think you may have to wait a bit to find out when the feathers start coming in. My Sussex also has a purply beak. I think you have a cute little EE. I have two and they are lovely.

i'm going to make a guess and say the mom was the welsummer. wait a little while, if her legs turn green then you'll never know. if they stay yellowish i'm guessing the welsummer.
