Welsummer STILL hasn't laid at 30 weeks

Quote: Just like a woman's hips spread during childbirth, so does a pullets hips spread when she starts laying. In my experience in childbirth, hips don't go back.

I thought my Welsummer pullet would never lay, but she finally did at age 30 weeks 3 days. So . . . give it time. If she squats when you approach her, that's a good sign. Pullets will typically start laying within 1 to 2 weeks of first squatting (although not all pullets will squat).
