Purchased this Welsummer from the pullet bin at TSC, I've never owned the breed before and although I know they are a sex linked breed - I can't find pictures of chicks around the same age. Roo? Pullet?

Welsumers aren't sex linked but are said to be autosexing, although that is a quality that must be bred for to be maintained. Female chicks are said to have darker heads than the male chicks, but that is as little ones, not feathered birds.

Welsumers can also be told apart by color when they feather out. Females, like yours, will have rusty or salmon colored breasts, and males will have black breasts.
