Hi all knowledgeable chicken lovers out there!
I am in Cape Town, SA and there are only a limited number of breed s available here, so that makes the guess work easier, on the other hand, a lot of "mutts" and "pavement specials", too!
I adopted these three from a family that got them from a farm in the outskirts of cape town, so they could be Rhode islands, but Boschvelders, Leghorns, Koekoeks, and buff Orpingtons are common here too, so they could be a mix. Then I looked at the Hy-line website and my chooks look identical to three of their "products" (how disgusting?!?)
SO PLEASE can anyone tell me what they are ??!???
also, do you think her beak has been trimmed? this is Astrid. the bottom beak is longer than the top and much pointier. (excuse the cottage cheese!
Any help would really be appreciated!!
