What breed are these chicks?

I bought these chicks from Rural King on 11/8/21; they were in with the buff orpingtons. One is grey, the other is black. The associate said they're jersey giants, but I don't think they are. Other people said barred rocks, but they never had the white spot on their heads. The grey chick also has the messy feathers, split feather (?). I'm new to chickens. Any insight would be appreciated.

The blue barred male is a Sapphire Gem cockerel, and I'd guess the black barred cockerel is a BSL or BR male.
