Personally, I'm not seeing the cochin at all. I'm thinking more of a Marans, maybe a blue copper, something like that. The pics have a funky overexposed quality that makes it hard to see details and color well. The body shape is all wrong for cochins, imo. I guess you'll know when they lay--light brown/cream eggs for cochins, dark brown for Marans.
I was thinking maybe they were hatchery quality cochins. Marans does seem much more likely though.
