They are interesting to look at and very cool. But the also stand like a roo.. wings down, like a soldier at attention. If you look at the op's original photos that bird is standing wings back more like a hen. So without clear photos of their bird it is to hard to tell if this is the same scenario causing all this confusion. But great addition to the tread. I did not know this was a thing but I do now. Thank you. ^_^

He’s 8 years old*Most* game chickens take a year or more to fully mature into adult feathering. Which is likely why the OP’s bird’s tail feathers aren’t AS pronounced as some other cockerel’s are.
