I suppose that is another possibility for the comb type (v-comb on crevecoeur.)

I don't see a crest, at least so far.

And the foot color would have the same problem as the Minorca: the chicks in the photos show some black on the shanks and feet, and the adults in the photos have slate legs with some black on them, but OP's chick is not showing thost things (at least so far.)


I am pretty sure OP has a baby chicken, not a baby pheasant.

I went through the entire list of the Hoover identify my chick thing, and those were the ones I saw that seemed to look the most similar. The Mutant Pheasant was supposed to be a joke though.

My initial thought was maybe some kind of hybrid Marans mix Olive Egger. Crevecoeur, while technically sold by Hoover's, is not actually on the rare mix list.

This one's really confusing the only other thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is maybe a SLW with extraordinarily bad lacing. But I don't know if that's possible, because I suck at chicken genetics

The only thing that’s coming to mind PBB I’m not sure how Hoovers makes the PBBs but I'm pretty certain they used a wyandotte on this one. But I’m thinking it could be a rose comb RIB but that’s highly unlikely.
