I remember the little glasses that Welch’s grape jam used to come in. Those were our juice glasses for years.

Still have some Flintstone ones

Yep. Our juice glasses were these. When we had dried beef gravy - over potatoes and with vegetables - one jar was the meat for the supper for our family of six.

Jam was nearly always homemade at our house. Both grandmas would come to help make it several times in the summer as the strawberries were ripe, then the cherries, then the raspberries, then the peaches and plumbs, then the grapes. Sometimes the neighbor lady would come too. Everyone would tell stories as we worked.

We had that dried beef gravy too, but over toast. My dad was fed the same thing when he was in the army, where they called it SOS... S#!t On a Shingle. LOL

I buy Nancy's Organic Yogurt sometimes, and the plastic tubs have a printed section that encourages reuse. There'e even a place provided where you can write down whatever you've refilled it with.

Yes, we had it over toast instead of potatoes sometimes too. It is better over toast unless you mix enough canned corn into it to make some texture besides paste.

The dried beef used to come in jars with the pop off lids where you could use the jars as glasses. But the labels were a bit of a pita to remove.

We never got a minute of dry weather yesterday. The rain turned into drizzling and misting. The snow melt slowed down but hopefully will be gone before the fresh stuff moves in. When I was in the grocery store the other day I noticed a new product in the freezer section, squash fritters! Ok, who gave them our recipe. Lol!

As children our water glasses were cleaned mustard glasses and we used the round plastic tubs our margarine came in for almost everything, like freezing leftovers, collecting stuff, my parents had a big tower of clean margarine tubs, they even had a semi see through tight fitting lid ( becel)

Actually I still use the sq glass pasta sauce jars for leftovers and tea/water

I remember parents getting free glasses at the gas station. Towels at grocery stores with purchase. S&H stamps. Another foggy misty day here. I last saw sunshine Sunday. Chance of sunshine Monday. This has been a slow melt but bare patches are showing.

I saw a promotion for a CBD gummy that lowered blood pressure, and it was being promoted as a product of Shark Tank. I tried to order it, but it's a good thing their system doesn't take two letter last names. I did a scam search on the company's product, and there were a lot of red flags that showed up. Just a heads up and reminder to do a scam search before buying things from powerful and compelling online promotions.
