I am almost finished on this coop. it is 8' wide 6' deep with 4 nest boxes on the rear and cleanout doors on both sides which have removable screens so they can be opened for summer ventilation. The Cupola was a last minute addition as a replacement for ridge vents. It was built from scrap wood and an old bi-fold closet door I had running around. It is my first coop build so wish me luck, I will gladly share the original plans that I drew up to anyone that asks. When I get some time I will update them and post them to the site.

Nice!We modified a couple things but here is how ours came out.
upper bar is the roosting bar, lower is the poop board. We've added 3 more girls to the flock so the DH will be modifying it to accommodate the new additions. Started out with 6 so the angled roosting bar worked fine but I don't want overcrowding with 8 (lost one pullet last winter to Mareks) full grown hens. I'll post the new model when he's done. I've got a few "honeydo's" he will be working on in the next few weeks. We are expanding the open run to the back of our shed for more space. Very excited about the expansion!Nice!
Curious about the roost.....do they roost on both levels?
How long is roost and how many birds?
How wide is the lower 'board'?upper bar is the roosting bar, lower is the poop board.
How wide is the lower 'board'?
I believe it's 18-24", it actually needs to be alittle deeper as i get a small amount of drop off LOL. But if there is anything I've learned in this chicken journey is one is always LEARNING.How wide is the lower 'board'?
Optical illusion then, looked same size as roost.I believe it's 18-24",
