maybe since the debate seems to be BLRW and Cornish, its a Cornish x with BLRW... From the few pics I've scene of cornish, that's what the head reminds me of... but I'm a newbie so I could be wrong...
His comb looks like Wyandotte. Not sure if he's mixed, but he is pretty. Was he from a hatchery? Maybe the coloring is a boy pattern for the blue laced red Wyandotte.
At 12 weeks that's a BLRW boy for sure. My female at a year does not have wattles like that and her comb was black with no red until 20 weeks or more. Wyandotte's are so very slow to mature. Mine at a year old still does not lay. However she sits in the box kicking her legs getting ready to lay, so maybe she's an internal layer. He is beautiful. My favorite color of Wyandotte's. They do not sell that color locally here.Quote:
He came from Ideal. They have BLRW bantams so that has been my guess, but it sounds like he doesn't really fit the bill. I don't have any other Wyandottes so I can't compare. He also isn't acting like a boy at all.. but sounds like everyone is pretty certain on that!
