What is this rooster? Marans? Australorp? Mixed?

With those feathered legs he is definitely not an Australorp - nor does he look like a Marans - chances are, with the leakage showing, he is a mix. What color are his legs beneath the feathering? What color are the bottoms of his feet?

I would expect to see significantly more "copper" in the markings than the little bit of leakage that is showing on this bird.

Could be a Black Copper Marans, but not a great quality one. Or a mix, possibly involving Cochin or Marans.

I would say Brahma cross , he has modified pea comb and feathered legs , also the body type is more close to Brahma than BCM ,also agree he is not black copper in color ,just has red leakage .

Looks to be a Brahma cross to me as well.

He's only about 6 months old and so I wasn't sure if that's part of the reason why the copper isn't showing as much. His comb is what is really "off".
