Also I would have to order hens as I can't have roosters.

Well, roosters don't start crowing until they are a little older. Your roosters won't be around that long.

I think that is true for many people. The poll just asks what is the most important reason for you to have chickens.

I am sure in some cases people have two or more equally important reasons to have chickens. Anyway, the poll is just for fun.

Mine are pets that lay eggs i plan on raising some for meat, but i want to keep the ones i currently have so i can breed the dual purpose x dual purpose instead of a small framed bird to a dual purpose and hope i get a eecent meat bird
