I have a broody pullet! She has four eggs under her I’m hoping that they will hatch! I know not all the eggs are hers but i don’t know anything more. Any ideas of what they would or could look like? I have four jersey giants and a buff Orpington from tractor supply. I know one or two of my jersey giants are laying and buff orpington is too. My two cockerels and pullet are almost a year and I don’t know what they are I nice lady gave them to me when I gave her my first rooster. I think the cockerels are part Cochin and the pullet that is broody I believe to be part silkie. Then I have two silkies from tractor supply that are laying and a blue laced Wyandotte that is not. I would love to hear your opinion I have no idea about this kind of thing.

I do not. Possibly some frizzles in there, maybe crests, leg feathering, and 5 toes, if the silkies and silkie mixes have five toes. I do see one girl with a rose comb, so you might have some heterozygous rose combs, although you say she isn't laying, so not very likely. Natj will be much more thorough and knowledgeable about this than me

It's going to be hard to tell because you don't know the exact parents. If you knew that I could tell you just about everything you need/want to know about the cross. If you are meaning you want to know about the possible crosses than I could tell you about those! :D

I think OP is looking for all the possible crosses

What breed/cross is the broody hen?? Is that your only rooster??
For the cross with your Buff Orpington hen:
For this one you are crossing two really great breeds. For starters the size is going to be bigger than the Silkie, but yet smaller than the Buff Orpington. But they will differently, mostly be made up of fluff!
My guess is it will be considered a cold hardy chickens because both the parent breeds are cold hardy.
Now to the feathers, or the appearance of the bird. The feathers will most likely take after the Silkie with their silk feathers, but will be a warm, light, creamy color.
They will probably be good layers if its a hen, but you really can't tell much of that - it's normally up in the air with crosses in my experience.

Yes please! That is what I would like to know!!!

Ok to be more clear I have two roosters I don’t know their exact breed but I believe them to be mostly Cochin.

The rest are hens the broody hen is a frizzle and I believe her to be mostly silkie. I know that her four eggs are not all hers actually at most only one them may be her own egg. I think one is from my Jersey giant hen Marigold. There might be one from my buff Orpington I know she is laying. Would the chicks maybe take on the roosters color? What is the color of my two roosters?
