I don't live in the north. I'm in the center of the country.
We get as cold as up north in the winter and as hot as down south in the summer.
Missouri is an equal opportunity hell.

How does one dress and do chores in that weather?

Good boots, flannel lined jeans and a sweatshirt under insulated bibs and I feel like I'm in the house from the neck down. Nose and hands are hard to keep warm, even if covered.

I've never been so happy to have the birds auto fed and watered. In 10 minutes I can wellness check everyone and get back in the house. I have some 10 week old piglets that are not on the auto water and food system that I brought into the garage. It's just too cold for them anyway.

My friend sent this. Just walked up and picked it up. You know its cold when wild birds are too cold to care to fly off!

7 F , feels so much warmer at 11:15 am

I guess I'm used to cold weather. 2 coats and a scarf. Boots and gloves and away I go.
