93 F at 2 PM. We were at a craft fair yesterday, and the EMTs were aiding a heat stroked young girl.
Heat stroke can be so dangerous! I had heat stroke when I was 19 and very pregnant. It took me several years before I could handle heat again. :(

Same thing is true with birds/animals. Once heat stroked = more susceptible.

I've lost quite a few hens to the heat over the years.
It's odd, I never lost a single one when I lived in Texas, but I've lost several here in Colorado :confused:

Wow! I can't imagine that during pregnancy. Thank the Good Lord that you recovered!
I had a heat event a few years ago when we were riding (Harleys) back into Texas after a week in the Carolinas. It was a big temperature change. It was my last time to take a long bike trip too. I couldn't handle the heat for many summers after that. Heat still makes me a little nauseated and sluggish. (And yet here I am, still in Texas.)
