Nullarbor floodwaters slowly receding after drought-breaking rains with recovery to take months

Floodwaters on the Nullarbor are slowly starting to recede more than five weeks after drought-breaking rain cut off outback pastoral stations in one of Australia's most isolated regions.
Last month, more than 300 millimetres / 11.8inches of rain was recorded in just a few days at various pastoral stations spread across the remote Nullarbor.
Ok, I was about to whine and complain about the rain here - I won’t- but it’s darn damp and chilly!
I sure hope people are ok and getting supplies flown in to them.
Today it’s raining again (what a shocker), and cool at only 9C (48f), it’s supposed to stop raining this afternoon and go to 13c (55f).
The horses are all muddy, but the chooks seem to be enjoying wading in the flooded ponding in the lawns.

Brrrr! Hoping for warmer weather soon.
Thank you, I just wish it were a wee bit warmer to dry up the soggy mud. I can’t drive up to the barn at the moment I would tear up all the sod, so I have to wheelbarrow all the feed and shavings for horses and chooks up to the barn. And the soft ground makes pushing the wheelbarrow next to impossible! The ground is like a doughy sponge. That's so pretty and green! Looks like heaven to me. You have beautiful animals.
That is rather extreme for sure!
Flown in? What's going on?I sure hope people are ok and getting supplies flown in to them.
