When to help?

No yolk left, but was stuck looked as if the membrane was stuck to baby in some spots. Baby seems better today but baby is not moving around too good and seems to have spraddle legs but not all the time? We tried bandaid method it was nightmare then tried hair tie and straw method same thing disaster. Baby seems to walk fine on carpet, washcloth, us but not in brooder?View attachment 3687002
If the brooder is slippery that can cause issues
I use puppy pads and they are slippery so the first 3-4 days I put that non slippery shelf liner down
Easy to rinse off
I usually don’t try anything on the legs for 24 hours
This allows baby to try and get their footing first
Make sure his vent is clear as that goo can cause pasty butt. Can be deadly if not cleared but easy to fix if done before baby gets sick
Because baby had a hard hatch and his legs were probably stuck in the wrong position to hatch it may take him a little bit
You can line the whole brooder with old towels to
They help get grip

I did all of that shelf liner and towels I just went to check on babies and the one I’m worried about was flat on its back and couldn’t get up. The babies eyes look weird too

How is the duckling doing now? what do you mean about the eyes swollen around the eye itself ? Do you have any poultry cell or nutri drench you could dribble some along the outside of the bill and see if it will take it.

I would really check baby over front top to bottom for any spots that feel rock hard.
If goo got stuck it can cause them to have a wing or leg stuck
Eyes can be stuck shut

That's great news, sounds like after a hard hatch it just needed time to recoup. As for the leg are you keeping the ducklings on a non slippery surface? if so and it is still spraddling then you might want to make hobbles.
