When to stop using the light

My girls are 4 weeks old. Our temperature at night gets down to 65. Their coop is open to the air. Do they still need the light on at night? Thanks for your input.

Go by how they act. If they are avoiding the warmth, turn it off. If they still gather under it. let them have it a little longer.

If they grew up outdoors, my guess is they are ready for it to be turned off.

I went from a full light to an LED clip on light. It just makes a small spot of dim light. They freaked at full darkness: went running madly about bumping into things while screaming peeps.

They will probably be loud the first night of darkness. Just let them cheep; they will get over it, and then they will sleep much better.
