Where do you find chickens?

Not infrequently on here I see that someone finds a chicken. I've never had such luck.

For those that have found chickens, where did you find them?

The chicken in my Avatar. A neighbors granddaughter who lives about 2 miles away but still same town as I, found her. It is a serama hen that was wondering in her alley. They checked with peeps in the neighborhood asking if any one lost a chicken, or even kept chickens. After no luck, somehow grandma told them that I kept chickens. They arrived by me and asked if I would adopt. I agreed and told the little girl, that she was welcome to visit the pet anytime she wanted. She did come by a couple of times when she came with family to visit grandma. Her mom told me that little daughter was sad at first, but was totally FINE when she did come to see the pet she once found. here is another pix from my album.

Is she laying for you? I think it takes 3 of their eggs to equal the size of one of larger hens.

I lost her to some rowdy children's actions a few years ago.
Eggs were small for sure.
