I was wondering where you all buy your needles and syringes if you need to medicate large numbers of birds or just have a lot on hand. I have had to give some Tylan 50 injections this week. My Family Farm & Home sells some needles but I would like a small gauge needle and probably only 1/2" instead of the full 1" ones they have. They also don't sell the 1 ml/cc syringes. The 1" needles make me nervous about the bird lunging while I am injecting! I usually buy everything on Amazon but can't find any needles on there. Ideas?

One inch needles are best for injecting into the breast muscle. In subcutaneous injections you don't have to put it in so deep, or can go in sideways. The problem with small needles is that they may be too small to push through thicker medications, and sometimes you can actually waste the meds by pushing too hard.

Most of the Tractor Supllies and Southern States have syringes and needles, but sometimes they are big ones for cattle and horses.
