Which brand do YOU swear by?

Our Tractor Supply usually keeps feed that is pretty fresh, I did buy a bag of layer feed that had mold in it once, though

Years ago they had a brand called protrition. It was excellent but for some reason it's not sold around here maybe they disbanded. It was a co-op group that made it

Looked it up seems to still be sold, I'd check it out

Upon even further research it seems like they stopped and restarted. Not in my state though

Others I know and I had it in the past was moldy dumor. I'd advise be aware of mold and the amount of powder at the bottom of layer bags. We had problems with multiple sacks not just one. I would also advise to not get the last bag on a pallet whatever the brand at whichever stores. I've witnessed people mopping in the stock area in the back and slapping the mop against feed bags of all kinds not caring. Alot of people aren't there cause they love they're job and don't care

Purina flock raiser. If the store is out of that, then others in the Purina line, Nutrena, and Dumor will be top contenders (many of the other brands are not available in my area). Final selection would be best combination of protein, freshness, and price.
