Which EE plumage gets me deep blue eggs?

OK. 2013 was a bust year incubating. DH was getting a kick out of creating the mixed breed flock, but no eggs hatched. I ended up buying chicks from McMurray. I bought 25...then sent 27 (mix) and everyone lived...except I've been butchering roosters, as you do.
Anyway, I only need 4/6 roosters (still left) for my 17 layers. Don't have my own pictures, so I'm posting some from online.
I have EE roosters and EE hens that look like this:

I am collecting eggs from a pale olive to a deep teal. Does anybody know which color hen is laying these? Can't seem to catch them all in the act!! The deep blue eggs are so pretty I'd like to breed for that. Thanks!! =D

...anybody wanna tell me what plumage on and Easter Egger gives me true blue colored eggs and what plumage gives me olive? I'd like to breed to for the blue. Thanks.

Actually, you only "need" one, maybe two roosters for 17 hens. As far as what color hen lays what color eggs? In my experience with EEs it's anybody's guess. I haven't found that any specific colored hen lays a specific colored egg. I have EEs that lay blue and olive colored eggs, I have an EE/Brahma cross that lays a pretty, dusty-blue egg, I have EE/Brahma crosses that lay brown eggs. Good luck with your breeding program. It will be fun to find out what you get.

However, there is a link between a pea comb and the blue egg gene....so pick for those that breed true to the pea comb. (I think it is something like 90% chance if it is pea combed it will carry the blue gene).

Blue over white produces blue eggs.
Blue over brown produces green eggs.
Blue over dark brown produces olive eggs.

So it is best to have an actual true Ameraucana or Araucana rooster to cover your laying girls that are true breeds (easier to keep the genetics straighter) as the chicks will have a greater chance of getting the pea comb and blue gene to lay for the egg colors you want.

It can be done with Easter Eggers, which are mutts/hybrids, but then you get a lot more genes in the gene pool and more potential results.

But again, breed for the pea comb....it won't guarantee anything, but will aim you in the right direction. More than that will take a thorough understanding of the genetics and your flock genetics for some carefully selected breeding.

My thoughts (as I am learning to get my head around the genetics myself)
