White feathers on black Australorps?

I know this is old, but I found this picture of my Black Australorps and they do have white tips when young. They are all black now.

WHew! I was getting worried when i saw the white tips on some of my Astralorps!

My Australorps are now 5 weeks old and they all started out with white feathers like that. I didn't expect it either, but there you go. One or two may be roos and we are waiting to see.

I got 2 yesterday, one has a yellow chest, white tipped first feathers. The other is white chest, black first wing feathers and a bit of eyeliner sweeping from 'here's eyes back. Did I get 2 diff birds? Thanks!!

They grow out of the white feathering. Our 13 wk olds are all black and the 5 wk olds are starting to go blk with the white feathers almost gone
