White Leghorn laying brown eggs?

So what I was told was a white leghorn chicken has been laying brown eggs? So I’m now thinking she is something else like a white rock, could anyone confirm (wasn’t sure which forum to put this in)

IDK I'm going with leghorn cross.
Kinda has a leghorn build and looks like white lobes but white (?) shanks.

It's not a white rock. Looks like a Leghorn mix, or if you got her from a hatchery or feed store, some type of hatchery hybrid.

I went to collect eggs and noticed she was still in her nesting box, she got up of the nesting box and there was a brown egg in it which was still very warm.

(There was also another occasion where I had checked for eggs and there was none, she went in the coop and went she came back out there was a brown egg in there)

Yes, that does sound like she's laying them.

I've had mixups where the hen on top of the egg was getting ready to lay, instead of sitting on the one she laid, but it sounds like you've already checked that fairly well.

She looks alot like a leghorn cross that I have that lays very light tan eggs.
