Who ate their own birds for Christmas/the Holidays?

I eat my Cornish X's every day, but for Christmas I did a homegrown turkey. It wasn't a broad breasted broiler type, rather one of the other breeds. I was pretty disappointed- it was skinny, very little breast meat, dark meat that was REALLY dark, and really boney. I'll be doing the big white ones in the future.
