So we took in this lovely lady (black star) about two weeks ago. After getting aclimated to her new enviroment, she is hard at work. She lays HUGE eggs, much bigger than even the xtra large eggs found at the grocery store. She lays an egg a day for 3 days then takes a day's break.

Plan was to get a goat or two to keep the fence lines clean. But after a half day of this little lady's work I doubt we will need too. She started about noon coming right up on the fence line and taking it to bare dirt. There is about 100 feet of this. We hope to pick up a few more this weekend if I can get the coop finished. I hope a few more will follow her lead.
