Does the hutch have nests?

How big is it?

Is there privacy and security?

What are some of the places they lay eggs?

Have you examined the hutch for mites and fleas? How about on the chickens? Have you examined them for parasites?

the hutch is about 6ft by3 ft with laying boxes and plenty of bedding

the door is open all day its dark warm and very private
have recently wormed and mite powdered them and the hutch also use parasite spray once a week

Sometimes hens need to be retrained to lay where you need them to lay.

You can generally tell when a hen is needing to lay an egg. She will get restless, pace back and forth, and be very vocal and relentlessly annoying and loud. This is not the egg song. It's more like repetitive complaining.

When you hear a hen go off prior to laying an egg, you can show her how nice the nest hutch is and close her in.
