Whys my rooster attacking me?!

Sorry, he doesn't really attack me like he used to. It's like a hit and run. about a 1 second attack. I'll hold him down again if he does it. He'll fight for a few seconds then give up so I just hold him down for a minute. If he attacks me, it's usually my leg. he did this only once in 6 months.

No problem :)
That was a joke anyhow... :)

!!Alpha rolling a Rooster :)!!
Glad he's being better

I came here tonight, as my Mr. Roo attacked me when I went to collect eggs. He came right at me, trying to spur me but I chased him. I know its spring here and he's protective now. Guess who will win this fight? ME. I have 6 hens who are dears.... But Mr. Roo ( who was just made famous in my Local Sunday Paper for backyard chickens) is not running the coop. Thanks for all these posts. I know what I have to do.

Yes, I Found Kicking While You Run Works Best! (Not Hard Just Like He Would Get From Another Rooster In A Fight, Dont Give Him A Boot To Mars

even if you are kicking at him when you run, he feels he won. The idea is you run at him and chase him all over the place until he is too tired to try and attack. When he is resting up, he may realize he picked a mighty enemy and give up. When he runs from you, it also shames him in front of the flock.
