Will ducks fly away if they are free ranged.?

I was also wondering if my lone Muscovy would eventually fly away to find a mate or would it rather stay with me it's Mommy?

I don't have mallards, cut I do have call duck which fly very well indeed. They merely fly from one area of my pro pert to another if they don't feel like walking the distance. Sometimes they fly when something startles them; again, they just fly to another part of the property. Occasionally they will fly out in a huge circle, coming back to the yard each time.

I don't clip their wings because 1) their flights are wonderful to watch, and 2) they may need to fly to escape predators.

What sort of duck do you have
