Here is my 2 year old Barred Plymouth Rock hen, Jeffrey. (My brother, who has a weird sense of humor, named her.) She was the sweetest chicken I have owned, but she recently drowned in my duck pond. I was devastated. I have since drained the pond, which was a 2' deep stock tank, and will be putting in a more traditional pond with very gradual sides and rocks to help keep chickens from slipping, in the spring.

I thought it might be nice to honor her memory by posting her picture here.
