Embarrass MN
Hi, I live in Northern Mn and have been away this week. I have someone coming in every other day to check on the chickens and collect the eggs. My question is…she’s just been putting the eggs she collected on the counter. Is it still safe to eat them after they have been in a cold coop and not being refrigerated right away. We keep them on the counter a lot in the summer but I was Leary of doing this after they sat in a cold coop. Just don’t want to get sick…thanks for your help.

Perfectly safe, most people don't refrigerate their unwashed eggs, including most of the EU.
Thank you, I was just concerned since they were very cold to start with and then placing them on the counter for a week before eating might do something to them. Happy to know I don’t have to waste the especially now when eggs are like gold😜
