Haha I really can't see her ever laying. But hey, she keeps surprising me so I guess anything is possible

I'm so glad to here she learned how to eat! What an amazing hen.

Chiqita she eats but I have to hold her. She has lost the ability to bend down on her own. Her feed time is me sitting with her on my lap while holding the bowl for her. I also have to hold her so she doesn't stretch up.. I'm certain she has suffered neurologically and has lost most of her natural behaviors. She also won't peak at anything unless imholding her. She is unsteady on her feet and doesn't " scratch" anymore. She knows when food is coming and clucks and carries on lol..

It is amazing what behaviors they can learn. I'm so happy she is eating

Just letting you all know- Licorice is over the rainbow bridge now. I hand fed her for over 9 months, and made her as comfortable as I could. She spent days on the grass in the sunshine although she had lost the ability to be a chicken
I made the hard decision as her quality of life was not fair. She couldn't scratch, preen , dust bath, eat or roam-She sure was a fighter and I am very comfortable with my decision. I miss her terribly but no I did what was best for Licorice-
Now she can be a chicken again! Be free xx
