WTH?!? Chicken shed patch of skin and feathers?!?

I was deworming my chickens for the first time and demiting them for the second when on of my rowdy cuckoo marans was flapping around and lost a patch of skin and feathers. Any ideas on this?! Fungal maybe?

I have no clue! Interesting photos. Would like to see what others think.

Is the patch where that came from raw or just a bald spot now? Any chance of a picture of that area?

Definitely need a pic of the area it came from...

Might have been an injury, like scrapes from being mated, and the skin healed underneath so the old stuff was shed off...

I will try to get a pic today. I didn't see where it came off, just saw it that when dusting and deworming, gagged a little, and then finished up with the others. None of the others appeared to have anything like that. I don't think it's injury from mating, this pullet is only 4 months old and the rooster is 5 months and I haven't seen him mate any of them yet.
