Almost, you can use the Silver Laced, Silver Penciled or Columbian hens with a red or gold based rooster to make sex links though.

Newp! Has to be a red rooster over a silver/white hen. The other way, you will get chickens, but they will not be color-sexable at hatch.

OP if you search the forums, you will find some threads specifically about breeding sex linked Wyandottes. I can try to post the links for you if I get a chance, but I'm heading to bed soon here. I think one is called something, something, Is Silver Laced the same as barred?

Spoiler alert: It's not. So while you can't use a Silver Laced hen and a black rooster to make a black sex link, you can treat her as a silver hen and use her to make red sex links. But it only works one direction. Silver or barred hens, solid or red roosters.
