Young duck with we rid clump of feathers growing on its head

can anyone tell me why my duck has always had this funny clump of feathers on its head lol, it's parents didn't have it and they are now supposed to.

Hi @adpad5 Just looks like a crested duck black swede right. Somewhere in your ducks family tree there was a crested or some crested and it will pop up now and then.. Beautiful ducks.. You can also look up crested ducks in the search line up top or google it and it will explain it more.
