I have a 1.5 year old Norwegian Jaerhon. They are supposed to be the Norwegian version of a high production White Leghorn.
I know she was laying last winter, but then the eggs stopped after 2 or 3 months and I haven't seen one since. At first I thought she was hiding them in the chicken run, which is rather overgrown, and I expected one day I would find a huge pile of eggs.
Then I started paying attention to her comb color, it is always pink and never red. She seems healthy, two unrelated pullets her age are laying just fine, but it appears she hasn't laid for many months.
A non producing hen isn't a big deal in and of itself, i have a few bantams and older birds that rarely lay, but this just seems very odd and I wonder if others have ideas.
