The pic above is my three year old Vanita, a champion barred Plymouth Rock bantam. I'm hoping to hatch chicks from her...

The only problem with her is that she seems to have a sort of cushion and has black flecks on her legs... I haven't the slightest idea how to breed that out of my strain

~~Hi, the black is supposed to be there on the legs. The hens have more than the roosters. Sometimes the roosters don’t have any or very little. But it’s one way to tell the difference when they are little chicks. it looks like you sprayed their legs with black spray paint.

Sorry, haven't been on byc for a while. That's great that you're interested! I'm not selling now and I doubt you would want rocks from me. But I have gotten some decent birds from Cackle Hatchery, though none compare to specialized breeders. I am currently trying to set up a breeding program.
