Murrieta, CA

I am curious if anybody has made an attempt to change the ordinances for keeping chickens in Murrieta, CA? Animal Control for the area says 2 chickens are okay in a track home but the City Code says you must have at least a 1/2 acre to have any chickens.

I would like to gather some interest and see if this is a battle I should take on. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!
