Our self-blue bantam cochin brothers are still here. I was hoping to sell them, but now I'd like to just give them to someone. Anyone interested in one or both? I'm in GR, but can travel an hour.

Our egg production is way down. My d'uccle has a naked neck and there are feathers all over; must be moulting time.

We don't have insulation, but we do wrap the corner that gets the most wind in plastic over the winter.

Today was day 19 for our fertile eggs under a broody. This is our first time, and I know now that I could never hatch with an incubator. I'd be a nervous Nelly. I'm hoping to see some pips tomorrow, and some sweet little self blue bantam cochin chicks on Tuesday.

I found a woman close to me who breeds self blue bantam cochins. Yesterday I put 5 fertile eggs under a broody. This is our first time hatching. Fingers crossed the eggs develop and Alice is a good mama.

It seems like dosing my ladies was what at least one of them needed. I got my first egg in three weeks yesterday. It might just be coincidence, and not the meds, but I'm happy.
