Sorry been àway for a while...sticky bottom is when the poop gets stuck to the chicks vent preventing them form pooping, it builds up and they die. But you can just rub a lttle vaseline on the crust then work it with your fingers till it comes off.
It may be vent gleet..... runny, smelly pooh, or known as yeast infection. You have to give her an epsom salt soak...in a tub add 1/4 cup epsom salts and warm water not to hot, and let her lay in it. ( you can pre wash off the pooh) then take her out and towel dry then blow dry. Then next step...
I have 2 incubators and I have an egg turner, and only put in one row (7) of eggs each day, so each day 1 week before the hatch I transfer thise 7 eggs to the 2nd incubator till the are all out of the 1st incubator then when they start to peck through I put them back in the 1st incubator so they...
At first I would want to buy chicks 1. to see what I was getting 2. no hastle if they dont hatch 3. but then I would start breeding my own chicken and then hatch my own eggs.

Usually the cockerel is larger, they have a broad circular comb as well as a medium sized upright crest, and they have larger earlobes.
the hen on the other hand is smaller they have very small combs and medium sized globular crests, and they have smaller earlobes.
Most of the time the problem is with the humidity during incubation, also can be dirty eggs or incubator, not turning them enough or even imbreeding. For your split leg chicks you can splint them together I use steri strips but you can use small band aids. Just make shure you clean all...
I would try to get some kind of antibiotic (tetracycline) common OTC, also you should try to wash the wounds as best you can and apply polysporin or another kind of antibiotic cream. For the scaly leg mites soak her feet in warm soapy water for about 10 min. then lube both feet with vasoline, do...
well it should be ok, I normally stop turning my eggs and put them in the 2nd incubator 1 week before they hatch.
But if they are not due to hatching 1 week after "lockdown" then you should find another place for them, a 2nd incubator works great!
