I don't have a color chart. I need to get one. I hatched one pullet & one cockerel out of three eggs. They really look good to me there copper is really dark. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow.

Our first pullet egg from our bcm we hatched from dmrippy. She is 5 1/2 month's old. The blue eggs are from super blue egg layer's from dmrippy. They are the same age . They started laying a month ago.

Does anybody know if the little peddler line of black copper marans a good line ?

Thanks. One of my hens has a little bit of brown shading. I guess this is where the problem comes from. Will the brown leave?

I hatched some black & blue maran chicks. Some of the black marans are starting to get some brown feathers at 1 week. Is this common?

What kind of digital thermostat did you use. I have ordered a pid controller for my 1202 going to play with it to see how I like it. If I like it I might use one in my hatcher build. The cost for everything was about 80.00.

What did you use for thermostat? Do you like the two smaller fans better than 6" metal fan? Thanks for the pictures they look really good.

I have been looking and researching homemade incubator post. Trying to get ideas on building a hatcher to go with my 1502 & 1202. Didn't you build yours?

The eggs already hatched Monday 13 eggs out of 17 . Chicks are doing great.

Yes I really like the 1502 . I had to turn the temperature up to 100.4 to make it 99.5 at egg level. After that it holds steady at 99.5. Definitely need to buy a water reserve it really uses water.
