My Anconas are fruit lovers. Cantaloupe especially. They loved fresh strawberries when they were in season. They liked pears at first but now are over them it seems. They love clover, we have a pig patch in the yard and I gather up leaves and flowers whenever we mow.

How old are your ancona girls? My older girls are just over 3 months, we also have a boy who is 3 months and two younger girls. We are definitely seeing mating behavior in the older trio. How much longer until we should look for eggs? When did you start providing the oyster shell? :)

Day two - everyone is acting like they've always been together. The new girls are delighted with the pond. They all forged together, snuggled together for a nap, swam together, and got treats together. Anconas really have amazingly sweet dispositions.

Yup - I've checked on them twice. All snuggled down, not a feather out of place. I'm shocked. And delighted.

Today was a busy day! My husband and I had the problem of too many drakes (3) to ducks (2). We rehomed two of our boys today, thank goodness, and were extremely fortunate to find someone selling 2 female anconas as well! We dropped the boys off at their new home (it was hard to leave them...)...

We ended up finding them a home, thank goodness! Two boys were relocated, and we found someone selling two girls. So we did a crazy run around today and got all of that sorted out. Thank you for the offer though!
