Just sitting here waiting for the floof to pip. On my bajillionth hatch and I still go down the “what did I do wrong” rabbit hole, cruising the forums gloom and doom threads I need to go out of town during lockdown!

First quail, then bantam (unashamed) designer chooks, and now messy, stinky, lovely, silly ducks have stolen my heart since I last updated. Bird math. I see a turkey (or several) in my future…

Happy to announce that I am now the proud momma of 5 Silkies. They are so much friendlier than my quail but seem much more fragile and a bit more maintenance. I hope I get things right!
