    pigeon toed duckling

I have 3 kayuga ducklings 3 weeks old. One of the ducklings has bowed legs and is "pigeon-toed". He is walking on his own feet half the time. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is there anything I can do to help him? Thanks!

    I need some wisdom

THanks so much! They are currently on turkey starter and doing very well. I think that was part of the problem at the beginning. I had them on chick starter so they were eating anything and everything to try to get what they needed. At what age do you typically move them outside. I'm...

    I need some wisdom

is it really bad for turkeys to be put where chickens were?

I have broad-breasted bronze poults (4H project) and was reading you should never put turkeys where chickens were up to 3 years or you run the risk of disease. Is this true? I have a great run I was going to use but it has been used for bantam chickens in the summer only the last several...

    protein supplements for poults?

Thanks for all the great info! I also have my poults on chicken starter (advised to) and have been having trouble with them trying to eat everything (paper towel, pine shaving, cardboard). I was about to switch them to old towels and I will have to order turkey starter at the local feed mill...

Seeding advice on separating ducks into male and female pens

I currently have 3 duck pens. 2 pens have breeding pairs and the third pen has only females -- 2 are only 8 weeks old. I would like to consolidate down to 2 pens as I am not collecting hatching eggs anymore and have a pen of females and a pen of males. Does anyone have any advice? I haven't...

    sick runner duckling

They are in a grassy run about 5 X 20. They have their own pond (inset kiddy pool) and good shade. There are weeds pushing through the fence at the back. All the ducklings are nibbling on them. Is it possible that it is Coccidiosis? I've never had a problem with this on my property before...

    sick runner duckling

I have 3 5-week old white runner ducklings and one is now showing signs of being very ill. Saturday morning everyone seemed fine and all were eating and drinking well. My daughter let everyone out Sunday morning so it wasn't until Sunday afternoon that I went out and found one duckling...
