I have a year old sizzle roo that needs a new home. Hes a wonderful boy and pretty docile for a roo, we just have two of them and they are tearing up our hens. I would love to trade him for a pullet.. Open to different breeds. Could get a better pic tomorrow if anyone is interested. I got him...

    Neighbor's dog killing my chickens

Update: neighbors dog killed another of my cuckoo maran chicks today, but this time he didn't make it back home. Thus ends the dog problem.

    Neighbor's dog killing my chickens

It sucks because besides the dogs we have very little problems with the neighbors. We had four ducks who ran the neighborhood. They would go to the neighbors yard, across the road to the dairy, everyone loved them. Well they are dead now, nothing I can say about that because they do go in the...

    Neighbor's dog killing my chickens

We live in a small town and animal control consists of only a couple officers. I had an issue with the same neighbors a couple years ago when their rat terrier was going after my rabbits. When I called they told me that if the dog was on my property I had the right to shoot it, but there wasn't...

    Neighbor's dog killing my chickens

We have five acres so that would be a LOT of electric fence. Lol At the moment the chickens are safe in their coop and fenced run, so it's just a waiting game til the dog slips up. If they cared anything for the dog they would either chain it when it's outside or find it a new home. If they...

We live in Tennessee, there are leash laws and we have the right to shoot animals for going after our livestock.

    Neighbor's dog killing my chickens

No they know the dog is getting in our yard, I doubt they have the money to pay any kind of damages. The last time it did it, I put the dead chicks in a plastic bag and hung it on their door knob, then tied the stupid dog to the porch. Caught it out again the next day. I've already warned...

    Neighbor's dog killing my chickens

So our neighbors got a new dog, and over the past week it has killed one of my roosters, six laying hens, three Cornish Rock chicks, and two cuckoo maran chicks. Also three if our ducks. We let our chickens free range, but are now keeping them secured in the coop which they hate. We've tried...

I picked up Americaunas, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Rhode Island Reds, and Cuckoo Marans from the Poultry House at Bonnie's Barnyard Saturday. One of my Marans died before I got her home and I've called a couple times this weekend but haven't heard back. I'm hoping I can go up next Saturday and...

You can preorder for the poultry house at Bonnie's, but you can also buy straight from the selection they bring there. I've never preordered and have always gotten any breed I was looking for, including turkey's.
