I have a 20 -30 run I put elect. wire around the fence About 4 in high 4in from the fence . Used 4 by 4's in ground and 2by 6,s at the top and cover'ed the top with 2x4 weld'ed wire Never had a problem with pred.

Red stars and black stars are great layers of large brown eggs. RIR, BAR ROCKS good layers. I have 16 layers, get around 10-14 a day Isell my eggs pretty fast.

I bought a 1200 w gen on line ( new ) for $ 99.00 runs a 250w heat lamp for about 4 hrs worked great for my week old chicks Should work fine for you

you could use electric pipe wrap , run it through the nest box'es someway. Just an idea!!

I use ext cords for my birds, I have two heat water bowls, fence charger around coop, use at least a # 14 or # 12 guage cord I use two different circuts done't overload one, works fine for me!!

Good to hear from you, I get 8-10 eggs a day out of 14 chickins have 6 more little one's ALL this years Here in TN. thay don't call them sex links any more, because of the young 4 H KIDS there just called black stars, red stars.
