I've never had one go broody that young, but I guess if she's laying its possible. They have in incredible instinct.

I think, per the Standard, any bird 9 months of age or older at the time of showing should be dubbed. I think OEGB look better dubbed. I've dubbed roosters I didn't like, and fell in love with them afterward.

That's a BBR that looks more like a brown red than any I've seen.
