    I had a terrible hatch like that last year and it was because my temp was 98-99 I had chicks hatching a week late. Half of them were DIS and I had to assist the others. Maybe your thermo is incorrect?

    Give them time. I had a silkie hatch 60 hours after being pipped and most of mine take 24 hours after pip to zip. I dont know why everyone says it only takes 12-18!

    So excited I couldnt sleep today is hatch day! I woke up to a lav orphington hatched in my brinsea and all the others pipped! My hovabator has 4 pips in the past hour. I am so relieved. Last year my incubator was too cool and the chicks were FIVE days late! It sucked-most had to be helped.

    If they are good quality people will buy the roosters. Last year I hatched 7 show quality barred rock and 7 were roosters. I sold them all!

    Every RIR banty or LF have been hateful spazzy chickens. I have tried them twice from two different hatcheries. They have all been hatchery birds so maybe that is why...sorry
